Hoping to keep her family feud private, Dina Manzo breathed a sigh of relief knowing her estranged sister Caroline Manzo wouldn’t be returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey this season, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
“The show had taken its toll on their relationship. Dina didn’t have the energy to fight on camera about their family drama,” a source revealed to RadarOnline.com about the feuding siblings.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Dina returned for season 6 after Caroline announced her departure from the show to film her own spin-off show, Manzo'd With Children.
“Dina will still scrap with the other ladies, but she’s thrilled not to have to fight with Caroline or Jacqueline Laurita,” the source added.
Laurita announced this week she wouldn’t be returning to RHONJ because she was “burnt out from the drama” but would make guest appearances on Caroline’s spin-off.
According to another source, the sisterly rift between Dina and Caroline is far from being repaired.
“They aren’t exactly friendly. They are distancing themselves and find it better that way,” the source said.
“Dina doesn’t want to be exposed for who she really is.”
Dina will return for this season alongside Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga and new faces Amber Marchese, Nicole Mauriello and Teresa Aprea.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres Sunday, July 13, at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
