Dumped, or duped? Fans have been questioning the mysterious absence of Aviva Drescher from the Real Housewives of New York City after the star was yanked from the opening credits of the ratings starved show.
One report, via TheHollywoodGossip.com, suggested the mom-of-four had been "disciplined by producers with a forced three-episode hiatus."
A second report suggested that Drescher had been removed in an effort to drum up interest in the show!
But now, the Bravo star has fired back, telling RadarOnline.com (via our good friend Tom Murro): "I wasn’t (disciplined) … back on in two weeks."
As for her absence, Drescher reportedly didn’t want to go on her costar's trip to the Berkshires because of concerns with her prosthetic leg and asthma that the woody retreat would affect her health.
It still does not explain her removal from the credits, however.
When pressed about that, Drescher was mum, insisting: “It’s not newsworthy.”
