New parents Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman took a much-needed break from baby son Eric to take a romantic walk together on Miami Beach with their dogs.

Appearing very happy, Cowell and his girlfriend, mom to Eric, born on Valentine's day, walked Yorkshire terriers Squiddly and Diddly by the shore, letting caregivers watch their ten-day-old son.

As Radar's photos show,  the couple couldn't stop smiling as both held a dog's leash and looked color-coordinated as shirtless Cowell, 54, wore blue print boardshorts and Silverman, 36, was radiant in a blue maxi dress.

At one point, they leaned close together and touched shoulders. Later, Cowell walked one of the dogs near the surf while Silverman took a much-needed rest on a beach lounger with the other pooch.

The X Factor and former American Idol judge said proudly after Eric was born, "He's doing brilliant.  I feel like a daddy."

And the latest photos prove everything is going swimmingly between him and Silverman, too!
