American country star Trace Adkins has entered a rehab center for alcohol abuse, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
Adkins, 52, has been open about his battle with the bottle and was 12 years sober prior to taking part in a Country Cruising cruise when he fell off the wagon on Monday.
"Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism," his spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.
"As he faces these issues head-on, we ask that his family’s privacy will be respected."
Country Weekly was first to reveal his entry to rehab.
In addition to banging out No. 1 hits on the country charts, Adkins also appeared in 2011's The Lincoln Lawyer with Matthew McConaughey and won a season of ABC's Celebrity Apprentice.
