Anthony Bosch is publicly going on record with the allegation he personally injected Alex Rodriguez with banned substances.

Bosch, who founded and ran the now shuttered Biogensis clinic, was a key witness in Major League Baseball's decision to suspend the New York Yankees slugger from the field.

On Saturday, an independent arbitrator upheld most of that suspension, ruling that Rodriguez can not play for 162 games, meaning he's out for the entire 2014 season.

In an interview airing Sunday on 60 Minutes, Bosch says he personally delivered banned substances, including testosterone, insulin-like growth factor 1 and human growth hormone to Rodriguez at least a dozen times and Rodriguez paid him $12,000 a month in cash for the dope.

He also tells anchor Scott Pelley he personally injected Rodriguez because "Alex is scared of needles, so at times, he would ask me to inject."

MLB relied heavily on Bosch's claims in making its decision to suspend one of baseball's biggest superstars.

Rodriguez is continuing to insist he never doped and is vowing to take his case to court.
