Real Drunk Housewife?! NeNe Leakes Reveals She Had Wine For Breakfast Before Bravo Audition

NeNe Leakes needed a little liquid courage before auditioning for The Real Housewives of Atlanta, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Opening up about her life-changing meeting, the outspoken reality star revealed she had wine for breakfast before meeting with the Bravo casting director.

"I was really nervous. The casting director was coming over so I had wine instead of having breakfast, because my nerves were taking over!" she told E!’s Giuliana Rancic in her tell-all interview.

"I was drinking and when she rang the doorbell and I opened it, I said "Helloooo and welcome, honey," NeNe recalled.

The boozy morning meeting was clearly a success as NeNe not only landed the gig, but also helped pave the way for Housewives history.

"By the end of the interview she said to me, 'You know, you are very interesting. Who are your friends?'" NeNe revealed.

She has gone on to become a star in her own right, outside of the show, but that intense work and travel schedule came with a price.

The reality star was rushed to the hospital in November with a blood clot in her lungs.

Leakes revealed: "I'm not 100 percent, but I'm trying to get there ... It's been tough, but I've been pretty strong.”
