Orange Is The New Black star Taryn Manning says Rosie O’Donnell wants to be put behind bars on the hit show, the actress exclusively dished to RadarOnline.com.
Manning, 35 – who plays bible-thumper Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett – revealed that the comedian is vying for a small role on the breakout Netflix hit.
“Rosie O'Donnell, who loves OITNB, expressed her desire to be an extra for a day,” Manning told Radar.
No official word on if it will actually happen, but Manning is hopeful — naming O’Donnell, 51, as one of her "dream guests."
Otherwise, Manning is remaining very tight-lipped about the show, which is currently filming its second and highly-anticipated season.
When the Netflix show left off, Manning's character was getting pummeled by the show’s star Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling).
“Without giving anything away, I think anyone who gets their a** kicked would go through some changes,” Manning teased at Beth Minardi’s New Hair Color Launch dinner party in New York City.
Playing a self-proclaimed Christian disciple and prison inmate, Manning admits the role has its challenges.
“The most difficult part for me is how radically different we are, morals and all. I have invested a lot of time researching and getting into the mind of this character -- sometimes it is hard to separate, leave set and leave the character behind for the day,” she revealed.
Another downside of her role: having to wear rotten teeth and little (if any) makeup, she told Radar.
That’s why she’s soaking up spa and beauty days when she’s off set.
The actress recently underwent a glam hair makeover at the Mark Garrison Salon in New York City – and Minardi dished all the details about Manning’s glam new ‘do.
“I wove shades of 'Cinnamon Toast' and 'Bamboo' throughout her medium brunette base. I wanted to articulate sensuality and sophistication with velvety brunette tones," Minardi said.
"I then applied a glaze of Beth Minardi Signature Demi Liquid 'Buttercream' and 'Sunflower' to infuse the hair with a warm, radiant glow. This is a modern way to fashion alluring, bombshell brunettes."
