Wendy Williams can drag out the deepest secrets from the celebs she grills on her talk show, but by signing up for a Broadway play she might finally be out of her league.
Starring in the musical Chicago in New York City, she is going to be belting out big numbers on stage but in an exclusive sneak peek obtained by RadarOnline.com of her new show, Wendy Williams: How You Doin' Broadway?!, she fesses up to a big secret – she can’t sing!
“I’m not a singer I’m just trying to get through seven weeks on Broadway without losing my voice,” Wendy admits while practicing with her vocal coach, Joan Lader.
Despite her big debut, Joan says that her student is not ready for the curtain call.
“Wendy has not rehearsed enough. Wendy and I have not gotten together enough to work on technique.”
With a hacking cough, she was under the weather for her vocal lesson, but Wendy was hilarious practicing her scales.
“We have eight days for show time,” she admits and shows her fear of joining the professional cast.
“I can’t sing like these people!”
Check out Wendy’s wild voice lesson and watch the premiere on TVGN (TV Guide Network) Wednesday, October 2 at 8/7c.
