Steve Ward has yet to comment publicly on the audio recording of a man identified as him promising a call girl a spot on his show, Tough Love, in exchange for sex.
But behind the scenes, he has plenty to say to the woman who made the tape public after he failed to get her on the air!
RadarOnline.com has learned that the VH1 reality star is privately threatening to sue the woman who recorded having sex with him after he assured her he'd usher her into stardom.
"Look," a man identified as Steve texted to the call girl after the recording first aired on TheDirty.com.
"I don't know why you did what you did, but California is an "all party" consent state. It is illegal to record someone without their knowledge in CA and we were alone so I don't know how much you recorded or whether or not you're doing this for personal publicity but per my attorney if this goes further I'll have no choice but to make a criminal complaint."
Crooked cupid Ward was talking an entirely different tune when he first seduced the woman.
On the audio tape, the man ID'd as Ward, 32, can be heard assuring the call girl that she could expose him with his blessing if he didn't follow through on his promise.
"I promise I'll cast you," he said. "Or, you can out me. I mean, you have my text messages. You have our conversation. Out me! I'm just telling you that I promise you I will make a full-faith effort to get you to the very front of the line of casting. To introduce you to the head of the casting company."

The promise of stardom never materialized and the woman decided to make the tape public, exposing Ward once and for all.
His rep and reps for VH1 did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
