John Travolta & Kelly Preston Don't Shy Away From Scientology Controversies, Attend Celebrity Centre Anniversary Bash

John Travolta is staying true to Scientology despite the recent barrage of bad news, defections and lawsuits.
He and his actress wife, Kelly Preston were front and center Saturday night for the the organization's L.A. Celebrity Centre's 44th anniversary gala.
Jenna Elfman and her composer husband Bodhi Elfman were also there.
There was no sign of Tom Cruise but jazz great Chick Corea performed.
Other attendees included actors Laura Prepon, Anne Archer and Michael Pena.

Ironically, the event came just 48 hours after Devon Campbell Newman, the public relations director of Scientology's Las Vegas Celebrity Centre was arrested for allegedly plotting to kidnap and murder a police officer.
