Britney Spears told the judge handling her conservatorship that she's ready to become a Sin City headliner and is looking forward to beginning her residency at Planet Hollywood later this year, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

The Oops, I Did It Again singer was before Los Angeles judge Judge Reva Goetz on Monday to be quizzed about the deal with Caesars Entertainment, the parent company of Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

During the 45-minute meeting in Judge Goetz's chambers, the 31-year-old ex-The X Factor judge told Goetz "how excited she was to be performing in Las Vegas," a source told Radar.

"The plan is for Britney to begin the shows around New Years Eve, with a huge concert on the last night of the year," the insider added.

"The judge was impressed with how happy and excited Britney was.

"Britney assured Goetz she could handle the stress and felt comfortable with the performance schedule. Britney won't be moving to Las Vegas permanently; she'll perform for several weeks in a row and then have time off. Rehearsals are already underway for the gigs and Britney is heavily involved in the choreography."

The deal is expected to formally inked next week.

Once the contracts are signed off, expect "Britney to appear at a press conference in Las Vegas and announce further details about the concerts. It's a very exciting time in Britney's life and she has never been better," the insider said.

The Toxic singer -- who will also finish an album this year -- has been under the conservatorship since her very public meltdown in 2008.
