Leslie Birkland has pulled the plug on her wedding to businessman Rip Mason, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The star of Big Rich Texas and the CEO of Legal Shield had planned to wed in Hawaii this summer. They'd been dating two years and became engaged last October.

But the reality star changed course after discovering that Rip wanted her to leave the Style Network show after she became Mrs. Mason.

"He wanted her to leave the show and settle down," a source close to the reality star tells us.

A beauty queen-turned pageant coach and successful real estate investor before joining the Big Rich Texas cast, Birkland is not the settling down type.

"Unfortunately that was a deal breaker," the source said.

"Leslie is heartbroken but made the decision with both their best interests in mind," her spokesman Dominic Friesen tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.  "The pair remain friends and Rip is supportive of Leslie's focus on motherhood and her career."
