Lindsay Lohan Checks Into Betty Ford At The VERY LAST MINUTE; Avoids Arrest

Lindsay Lohan is back in rehab Friday. The troubled actress arrived at the Betty Ford Clinic shortly before the court-mandated midnight deadline -- and therefore avoided being arrested -- after her long-suffering attorney Shawn Holley convinced prosecutors to let her return to the enroll in a rehab facility in Southern California, and not Morningside Recovery, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
"Lindsay went back to rehab last night, and arrived before midnight. Lindsay ISN'T back at Morningside. Her former attorney, Shawn Holley, was officially brought back on the case yesterday after Lindsay was calling her all day Thursday. Shawn was able to convince prosecutors that Lindsay was taking rehab seriously, but her former attorney, Mark Heller, bungled everything," a source close to Lohan told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
In a day of high drama, Lohan bolted from Morningside on Thursday morning, telling the facility’s staff that she didn’t need rehab as Heller, at the same time, told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney that Lohan was settling in at the venue.
“My client is ensconced in the bosom of that facility right now,” Heller told the judge. “She’s in rehab right now. Nothing bad is going to happen.”
It appears unlikely that prosecutors would seek an arrest warrant for Lohan since she made it in to rehab before the midnight deadline.
"Right now, Lindsay is focused on getting better. She wanted the drama to end, and that is why she fired Mark Heller. She was literally telling Shawn she would sell a body party if she would take her on as a client again. Shawn agreed, and Lindsay appreciates everything she has done for her. When Shawn says jump, Lindsay will automatically do so," the source revealed.
Calls seeking comment to Holley weren't immediately returned.
