Armed And Dangerous: 'The View' Co-Host Sherri Shepherd Wants A Gun After Home Invasion Scare

"We're going to get a gun!"
That's what The View co-host Sherri Shepherd revealed Thursday morning after she experienced a frightening home invasion scare that terrified her son Jeffrey and husband Lamar Sally.
The 46-year-old former stand-up comic had a not so funny wake-up call at 1 a.m. when her New York City home’s alarm system went off declaring, “Warning! Intruder, get out of the house!”
The devout Christian explained that she felt vulnerable because she had nothing to protect her family except a wicker basket.

“I’m trying to calm Jeffrey down and all I had was this wicker basket,” Sherri said. “I have nothing, a bat, nothing. We’re going to get a gun.”
The police arrived about seven minutes later and discovered it was false alarm.
Barbara Walters tried to at talk Sherry out of the idea but fill in co-host and licensed gun holder, country star Gretchen Wilson, argued for protecting your home at all cost.
The Grammy winning "Redneck Woman" singer admitted she carries a .38 in her purse and has a .45 next to her bed, while Whoopi Goldberg suggested Sherri should immediately go out and get a bat.
