The scandalous Jodi Arias murder trial isn't even over but Lifetime is already planning to make a movie based on the drama.

Arias is accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in 2008 by shooting him in the head, stabbing him 29 times and slitting his throat.

The dramatic case, which has been filled with explosive testimony, has gripped the nation as Arias, 32, faces the possibility of lethal injection if found guilty of first-degree murder.

Now the network renowned for "it's ripped from the headlines" movies is planning to cash in on the trial, which is still underway in Arizona.

The Arias movie comes from the producers of the Drew Peterson, Craigslist Killer and Clark Rockefeller docudramas.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, Arias claims she killed Alexander in self defense.

Her defense team has attempted to portray Alexander as a sex-crazed abusive monster.

Who do you think should play Arias in the movie? Leave your casting suggestions in the comments.
