"A witness told deputies that a man in a black SUV was last seen leaving the location after the shots were heard. Later in the day, detectives spotted the vehicle on Kanan Road just south of Cornell Road in Agoura Hills," the site said.

"Deputies conducted a traffic stop and suspect Patrick Leach, 27, was arrested for attempted murder."

Patrick was taken to the Malibu/Lost Hills Station and held on $500,000 bail. A spokesperson for the jail tells RadarOnline.com, "He's no longer here."

Patrick is listed as a writer after he collaborated with his mother, Sheryl, in 1997 on a children's book called Barney's Book of Hugs, based off her wildly popular TV show.
