A Republican congressman from Kansas has apologized after news leaked he took a nude swim though the Sea of Galilee during a congressional delegation to Israel during the summer of 2011, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Rep. Kevin Yoder issued a statement to Politico explaining the bare-naked fiasco, that happened to occur in the spot the bible says Jesus walked on water.

”A year ago, my wife, Brooke, and I joined colleagues for dinner at the Sea of Galilee in Israel. After dinner I followed some Members of Congress in a spontaneous and very brief dive into the sea and regrettably I jumped into the water without a swimsuit," Yoder wrote. "It is my greatest honor to represent the people of Kansas in Congress and for any embarrassment I have caused for my colleagues and constituents, I apologize.”

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor was "livid" about what happened, calling the behavior unacceptable in a meeting with other Republicans about the incident, ABC News reported.  About 20 others participated in the revelrous dip, though Yoder was the only one who was only cited as being naked.
