Fashion-savvy royal Kate Middleton has been named to Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed List.
The civic-minded Duchess of Cambridge -- who is renown for her elegance and beauty -- makes up to five wardrobe changes daily in her packed schedule, and has already spent more than $54,000 on clothes in 2012.
Kate, 30, is slated as the cover girl for the magazine's September issue.
Ravishing royals Princess Alexandra of Greece, and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, also made the swanky list. Other prominent personalities on it include actresses Jessica Chastain and Diane Kruger; football players Tom Brady and Victor Cruz; Empire State of Mind collaborators Alicia Keys and Jay-Z; and journalists Matt Lauer and Morley Safer.
Kate, who met Prince William while attending Scotland's St. Andrew's University back in 2001, wed April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey as an estimated worldwide audience of 2 billion people watched.
A source close to the royals told Vanity Fair that Kate's subdued star power has brought a calm peace to the England's royal family.
"There's a happiness in the House of Windsor generally at the moment for the first time ever," said the source. "Charles and Camilla are genuinely happy. William is happy because Charles is troubled less, and he has Kate to share his future with."
