Matt Lauer is parting with some of his new Today contract money - reportedly $25 million a year -- by purchasing 40 acres of vacant land in the Hamptons. He plans to turn it into a horse farm for his wife Annette and their three children.
"It’s magnificent,” listing broker Enzo Morabito told The New York Daily News.
The property, with ocean views, is in pricey Water Mill. It was listed at $3,999,999 and Lauer paid closer to $3.5 million.
The Lauers intend to transform the former nursery into a full-fledged horse haven with an indoor arena, paddocks and barns, Morabito revealed.
"The beauty of the place is that if you’re into riding, you can duck into those woods and enter a world that no one knows,” said Morabito. "You can literally go and go and go.”
The property is just a few minutes from the Lauers $15 million estate.
