Spanish sweethearts Penelope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem are rumored to be preparing to kiss goodbye to life in Hollywood and move back to their homeland of Spain.
Now they have one-year-old son, Leo, to think about and the possibility of more children in the future, it is understandable that their 3-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom Balinese style mansion was feeling a little cramped, so the super star couple have sold it, and RadarOnline.com has photos inside their 3,334 square-foot home.
Cruz and Bardem originally listed the house, which Penelope bought in 2005, for $3,650,000 but the real estate slump in Southern California forced them to accept the much lower price of $2,880,000.
The Vanilla Sky star, 38, had intended to use the home as a primary residence, but after becoming a mother she increasingly disliked spending time in Los Angeles in the public eye and reportedly ended up using it as more of a crash pad.
The beautiful white-walled single story home features a majestic carved wooden gate that opens into an intimate courtyard with a bubbling fountain and tropical landscaping. A kidney-shaped pool is the focal point of the back yard, which boasts a view of downtown L.A.
Inside, the house includes a maid’s room, a large kitchen with olive green cabinets, bamboo floors and a huge master suite with French windows leading to the garden.
