During Tuesday's season finale of The Biggest Loser, host Alison Sweeney might have ruffled a few feathers -- make that roses -- in saying that NBC's weight-loss gauntlet has done a better job of bringing couples together than ABC's romance-themed hit, The Bachelor, has.
Love was definitely in the air on the show this season, as one couple formed and another became engaged, and Sweeney couldn’t resist the dig at ABC’s reality romance hit.
"For the record I think we should point out that The Biggest Loser has brought together more successful marriages than you know, say, The Bachelor,” Sweeney said. "So we know what we're talking about: I just had to point it out."
On the finale, John Rhode, who lost 220 pounds this season, edged former Philadelphia Eagle Antone Davis and Ramon Medeiros for the season 12 crown and $250,000 prize.
Sweeney’s new book, The Mommy Diet, is available in stores now; The Biggest Loser returns on NBC January 3.
