Indy 500 Champ Dan Wheldon Killed In Horrific Crash

Dan Wheldon, who won the Indianapolis 500 for the second time this year died Sunday after a horrifying 15-car crash in Las Vegas.
The deadly pile-up took place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the Las Vegas 300.
"It was like a movie scene which they try to make as gnarly as possible," Danica Patrick told AP. "It was debris everywhere across the whole track, you could smell the smoke, you could see the billowing smoke on the back straight from the car. There was a chunk of fire that we were driving around. You could see cars scattered."
Three other drivers were also taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries.
