Grammy-winning singer and mom-to-be Beyonce turned 30 Sunday!
The Houston, Texas native rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of R&B girl band Destiny's Child which fast became one of the best-selling female groups of all time.
Beyonce Knowles then began a highly successful solo career which spawned several number one albums including the five time Grammy-winning 'Crazy In Love,' and the record breaking 'I am...Sasha Fierce' which earned her a whopping six more Grammy Awards in 2008.
In total she has received 16 Grammy Awards - the third most of any female artist.
To coincide with her incredible music career, Beyonce also took a highly successful foray into acting, starring in the Oscar-winning Dreamgirls, which earned her two Golden Globes nominations.
She followed that with a role in Cadillac Records in 2008, another critical success.
Beyonce has also held long standing endorsement deals with L'Oreal, Pepsi and Armani that in addition to her music and acting, ranked her number two on the Forbes list of '100 Most Powerful and Influential Celebrities in the World.'

In April 2008 she married rapper and music mogul Jay Z after six years together and in January 2012, she is set to take on her most important role to date as she becomes a mom for the first time.
The singer announced her pregnancy at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards a week ago.
