Kelly Clarkson is expanding her career and has formed a new girl band, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The former American Idol winner has enjoyed the success of a solo career and is now hoping for the same with her pop trio group named Already Famous.
Two of Clarkson's former backup singers, Kate Rapier and Jill Pickering, round out the threesome and they've already begun recording together.
"I'm off to Oklahoma to record some songs with @jillandkate! I love random writing and recording with friends!" Clarkson tweeted last Friday.
The new band even has its own Twitter page and announced plans for the band saying, "We switch on different songs. We all sing lead, alto, and soprano at different points.
"We've been writing & singing together for over four years so we thought why not record it. We love singing harmony!"
