Prince William engaged in one of his favorite sports on Wednesday -- polo -- aptly known as the "Game of Kings."

The Duke of Cambridge attended the star-studded Audi Polo Challenge alone. His new bride, Kate, was expected to attend, but pulled out of the event at the last minute.

The future king of England led his Umbogo team of England player Mark Tomlinson, former England captain Andrew Hine, and Harald Link, founder and owner of Thai Polo Club, against the Audi team led by Australian professional Glen Gilmore, with Chester Racecourse boss Richard Thomas, England player Ed Hitchman and founder of White Rose Polo Club East Yorkshire, Hedley Aylot.

Prince William's team won the match 8-5∏ to raise funds for Mountain Rescue England and Wales, ESSA (English Schools' Swimming Association) and SkillForce, an education charity.

Making the presentations, Jeremy Hicks of Audi UK caused Prince William to blush by describing him and Kate as "the best known bride and groom in the world."
