He’s shined on Star Search, saw ya real soon on the Mickey Mouse Club, got N'Sync with platinum records, brought sexy back and poked Facebook on the silver screen.

Now, Justin Timberlake's taking a break.

The multi-talented Memphis native told Jay Leno on Thursday’s Tonight Show that he won't be filming any movies or recording any music for the rest of the year, just promotional work for the stuff that’s already in the can.

"I heard you're taking it easy this year," Jay Leno told Timberlake. "Why ... are you worn out, exhausted? Physically and mentally?"

"Well, to be honest, seriously, I've lived 30 years and two-thirds of those 30 years I’ve worked -- a lot!" The Social Network star told Leno, who himself is noted for relentless work ethic. "You get to a point where you're like, 'Why am I doing all of these things at the same time?’"

Timberlake said he wants time to "stop and smell the roses" with family and friends.

Timberlake’s got a pair of sexy comedies hitting theaters this summer: Bad Teacher, which comes out today, and Friends With Benefits, which debuts July 22.
