Glee Star Splashes Out $50K On Tyler Shields Photograph

They must be paying those kids on Glee very well!

Jenna Ushkowitz splashed out $50,000 on a sexy image of champagne-soaked lovers, taken by celebrity photographer Tyler Shields.

RadarOnline.com broke the story that Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean paid around $40,000 for a vampire image of Lindsay Lohan but this was dwarfed by Ushkowitz’s payment on the image of actors Spencer Falls and Sarah Carroll making-out.

“These young celebrities buy my work because it’s an investment. The value has increased considerably since I started taking them,” Shields tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

“In addition they are very supportive of my work and that’s why they take part in it too. But the most important reason they buy it is that they like my art and for me that’s the biggest compliment of all.”

South Korean born Ushkowitz – who was raised in East Meadow, New York – plays the edgy character Tina Cohen-Chang on Glee.

Celebrity photographer Shields has built-up a big following among young Hollywood in recent times. Lindsay Lohan, Emma Roberts and Brenda Song, all attended his latest exhibition in Los Angeles.
