Nominees for the 65th annual Tony Awards were announced Tuesday in New York City.
The Book of Mormon, the satirical musical from South Park's Matt Stone and Trey Parker, led the charge with 14 nominations.
Among the nods it received were best musical, score, direction, choreography, book, and costumes. Actors Josh Gad and Andrew Rannelis were also nominated for individual honors.
Parker and Stone's religious comedy falls just one nod short of the record for the most nominations, set by Mel Brooks' The Producers, which garnered 15 nominations in 2001.
The actors who did not receive any nominations reads like a Who's Who list of Hollywood stars gone Broadway: Robin Williams (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo); Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying); James Earl Jones (Driving Miss Daisy); Kiefer Sutherland (That Championship Season); and Chris Rock (The Motherf----- in the Hat).
