Move over, Elvis: Elton John and his million dollar piano are coming to Las Vegas.

The Rocket Man singer will headline 16 shows in Sin City this fall at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, beginning a 3-year residency at the lavish venue he calls the "perfect, idyllic place to play."

Elton's not the only Grammy-winner to ply his craft at Caesars, as My Heart Will Go On singer Celine Dion returned to the venue last month to begin her second residency there.

And locals are “thrilled” that these two mega-stars are returning to their home town which has been hit hard by the recession in recent times.

“Las Vegas is thrilled to welcome Elton John back to the city again,” Cara Roberts, spokesperson for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce tells RadarOnline.

“He’s an amazing performer with a huge international draw. It’s another positive indication that Vegas is well on it’s way back from the recession.

“Coupled with Celine Dion coming back we are very excited about the future and the business they will bring in.”

Never one to disappoint, Elton’s bringing a little something even extra special this time around.

"I'm going to have a fabulous piano that Yamaha has been working on for four years, and that's the reason why the show is called ‘The Million Dollar Piano,'" the legendary musician said.

This will be Elton’s second time performing in Sin City, and at Caesars -- he previously performed over a three year period from 2004 in a show, entitled The Red Piano.

Tickets go on sale April 25 at 10 am PT.
