VIDEO: David Cook In, Stefano Langone Out On American Idol

Stefano Langone's glass slipper has broken.

The hunky 21-year-old, who surprisingly outlasted Pia Toscano earlier this month, was shown the door on American Idol Thursday, the same night season seven winner David Cook returned to the stage that made him a music mainstay.

"It's the start of my career," Langone told Ryan Seacrest in the wake of his elimination. "You can't put a price on that."

Elsewhere, Cook sang his new release The Last Goodbye, while music megastars Katy Perry and Kanye West teamed up to sing ET.

The remaining six contestants in this year's competition include boys Casey Abrams, Scotty McCreery, James Durbin and Jacob Lusk; and girls Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart.

American Idol returns Wednesday on Fox at 8/7c.
