On Wednesday, judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez searched for the next American Idol in San Francisco, where Drew Beaumier spiced up his segment with a little gimmickry, dressing up in a Comic-Con-ready Transformers outfit to off-set his sub-par vocal capabilities.

Beaumier, 24, showed the judges panel he could, literally, transform into a miniature Power Wheels car with motor and all, prompting Lopez to say she "wished her 2-year-old son was here.”

“That's how people are gonna get around in the future, ten more years,” Beaumier said, prior to belting out a pitiful rendition of Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild.

"It's a no," Jackson said.

Tyler cracked, "Before you go, how many miles do you get per gallon?"
