Betty White pulled off a magnificent upset at Sunday's SAG Awards, edging out four of Hollywood's most celebrated actresses to win the award for Outstanding Female Performance in a Comedy Series for her role on TV Land's Hot In Cleveland -- it marked her first SAG Award.
In receiving the honors, the 89-year-old Golden Girl beat an impressive field that included: Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie), Jane Lynch (Glee), Tina Fey (30 Rock) and Sophia Vergara (Modern Family).
"I cannot believe this," White said. "This is the biggest surprise I've ever had in this business."
White said she was lucky to be working at the age of 89, joking, "You didn't applaud when I turned 40!
“On top of everything else, I cannot say, 'Thank you' enough," White said.
Hot in Cleveland airs on TV Land Wednesday at 10/9c.
