Oprah Winfrey Gets Excited When Announcing She’s Taking Audience To Australia
Talk show maven Oprah Winfrey kicked off the 25th -- and last -- season opener of her daytime talk show in September by giving her entire studio audience a trip to Australia.
Including the studio audience and crew members, Winfrey brought about 450 people down under, where she filmed a series of shows.
Winfrey -- who famously gave cars to every member of her studio audience during her season opener in 2004 -- kicks off her new network called OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) New Year’s Day.

We all saw the thin line between love and hate this year in the form of Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi, The Bachelor couple whose love thawed into a War of The Roses-style breakup in record time.
The dirt flew on this televised special, when a bitter Vienna explained why she sold her story to the tabloids after their reality TV relationship went awry.
“I wanted to make sure I had a voice also,” Girardi said. “I want people to know I did try in this relationship.”

Prince William’s bride-to-be Kate Middleton said she "would have loved to have met" Princess Diana in the first interview the couple gave upon announcing their engagement this fall, as she said the late princess was inspirational.
Prince William, who met Kate while attending Scotland's St. Andrew's University back in 2001, said "no one's trying to fill my mother's shoes ... it's about making your own destiny, and Kate will do a very good job of that."
Prince William and Kate Middleton will be getting married April 29, 2011 at the historic English church Westminster Abbey.

"I saw a person I never thought I would ever become," Woods said of his sex-driven behavior, noting he'd strayed too far from his core values and beliefs, notably the Buddhist faith.
"I've done some pretty bad things," Woods said in the interview, taped months prior to his divorce from Nordegren being finalized.

The world waited anxiously as basketball wunderkind LeBron James hemmed and hawed about his future team in ESPN's top-rated -- and critically-panned -- The Decision, in which the sport's most coveted free agent declared he was taking his talents to the Miami Heat.
James, who left the Cleveland Cavaliers in joining fellow All-Stars Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in South Beach, faced a huge backlash from the TV special, especially from jilted Cavs owner Dan Gilbert, who ranted in a publicly-posted letter about James' "cowardly betrayal" in abandoning his hometown team.
"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE," Gilbert wrote.

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood's on-screen punching and kicking of baby daddy Gary Shirley mortified viewers of the hit show -- and alerted authorities to the toxic situation brewing in front of MTV's cameras, leading them to launch an investigation on the mercurial reality star.
Police said on one occasion, Portwood was seen "slapping Shirley five times, punching him three times and kicking him at least once.”
Describing another incident, police said Portwood shoved Shirley “against a wall, slapped him on the face and choked him. The incident was witnessed by the couple's (then-)1-year-old child (Leah) who sat in a child seat on a nearby bed."
