Actor Rip Torn has pleaded guilty to charges he drunkenly broke into a Salisbury, Connecticut bank armed with a loaded .22-caliber revolver this past January, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Men In Black star, 79, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges of reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and the illegal carrying of a firearm in connection with his break-in at the Litchfield Bancorp bank earlier this year.
The veteran film, TV, and stage actor was handed a two-and-a-half year suspended sentence, as well as three years of probation, in connection with the conviction. He will have to appear for random drug and alcohol tests, and is banned from possessing any firearms in said period, as well.
The Larry Sanders Show star was happy he will not have to serve time behind bars, a defense attorney told the AP.
