Harry Potter has cast his spell on New York - and muggles everywhere are rejoicing!

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and other stars from the seventh film in the Potter film franchise hit the red carpet Monday night for the U.S. premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

The event took place at the Alice Tully Hallin Manhattan and was attended by some A-List guests, including Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick, who took their son James Wilkie. Madonna's daughter Lourdes was also there, as was former boy bander Joey Fatone. We were also happy to see rising actor/singer Darren Criss make his first red carpet appearance since wowing us as Blaine on Glee last week.

The movie opens in the U.S. on Friday, November 19.

Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows: Part 2 - the eighth and final film in the Potter franchise - will hit theaters in July, 2011.
