Inside Jessica Simpson's Engagement Party

Jessica Simpson showed off her stunning ruby ring to friends and family Thursday night when she celebrated her engagement to NFL player Eric Johnson at her parents home.

RadarOnline.com has learned that guests of the happy couple dined on tapas and other Spanish-influenced fare catered by Bokado Brassiere in Studio City, California.

Simpson and Johnson announced their engagement last weekend, prompting her mother Tina to throw the party last night at her Encino, California estate. The guest list included Simpson’s sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and brother-in-law Pete Wentz.

RadarOnline.com has confirmed that Mark’s Garden provided roses and various other floral arrangements for the event that included nearly 50 guests.

Simpson, 30, and Johnson, 31, started dating six months ago while he was in the middle of divorcing his ex-wife, which was just finalized a few weeks ago.

This will also be the second marriage for Simpson, who married Nick Lachey in 2002 before filing for divorce in 2005 citing irreconcilable differences.
