Pop star Janet Jackson confirmed that she's not engaged in an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America Monday.

Roberts, citing scattered reports, asked the 44-year-old Nasty singer of her new beau, a businessman from Qatar: "Is it true ... are you engaged?"
"Um ... he's a very, very private man so I don't talk about our relationship," Jackson said, adding the media's "been trying to marry her off for a very, very long time.
"I'm not engaged," Jackson said. "I will say that."
Jackson said she loves playing the role of Joanna in the new Tyler Perry film For Colored Girls, adding her character’s "so bold and so shrewd.”
Jackson said she never saw For Colored Girls during its’ run in the 70s as a Broadway show, but she remembered seeing ads for it when watching her late brother Michael in the Broadway production of The Wiz.
For Colored Girls, which also features Kerry Washington, Thandie Newton and Whoopi Goldberg, opens November 5.
