Dancing With The Stars hopeful Florence Henderson told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show Wednesday that judge Bruno Tonioli "may have had a little PMS" in chastising Michael Bolton for a jive dance he said was the show's all-time worst last week.

Leno, who said he's good pals with the Soul Provider singer, asked the Brady Bunch mom, "Was Bruno too harsh on him?"

"Well, you know judges are judges," Henderson said. "You take the praise, you gotta take the criticism ... I do think Bruno may have had a little PMS that night."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Tonioli humiliated Bolton on the show's September 27 broadcast following the singer’s dance to Elvis Presley’s Hound Dog.

“You did it all very, very, very badly,” Tonioli told Bolton. “This is the worst jive in 11 seasons."

Bolton struck back at Tonioli in a GMA segment that aired after his elimination, as he said he "just didn't expect that level of disrespect from" Tonioli, who he said "should apologize publicly and ... be reprimanded."

Tonioli refused to say sorry, as he told ET Tuesday, "I said the truth; you have to be fair and you have to see everybody as equals, and if something needs to be pointed out ..."

Dancing With The Stars' eleventh season continues on ABC next Monday at 8/7c.
