The Duggar kids get in all sorts of scrapes and mishaps, and the most recent one to get hurt was little Johannah in the newest episode of 19 Kids and Counting when she fell off her bike and had to get stitches just days before a photo shoot.

Johannah was riding her bike down the hill next to the Duggars house with her brother Jackson when she fell off and cut up her face.

“I hit a rock and I was flipping and I was bumping up,” she said.

“She tried to stop it with her feet but she flipped,” Jackson added about his sister’s accident.

After checking out her injuries and learning what happened Mom Michelle and Dad Jim Bob decided to take Johannah to a plastic surgeon to fix her face.

“Pretty girl like her we need to do it right, if it was a boy we’d let it rip like it is,” Jim Bob admitted with a laugh.

Michelle talked about how scary it was for Johannah. “She was probably in shock and dazed I think she was terrified because of the tumble and the roll with the bike. That would be scary enough itself but then all the blood it made it that much more heart wrenching for her.”

Johannah was a champ at Dr. Robert Taylor’s office, and while he gave her stitches she didn’t even cry.  “She did really well, she stayed calm and tried not to over react,” Michelle said.

A pop up read “Over the last 20 years the Duggars have had about 300 stitches.”

The family was preparing for a Today Show appearance where Meredith Viera asked Michelle about the report that she would have a 20th child, which was first reported on in an exclusive interview with Michelle and Jim Bob.

Michelle was shown telling the same news to the Today Show that she had previously told “We would do it again and the fact that we have this precious gift is a miracle. I don’t take that for granted.”

19 Kids and Counting airs on TLC Tuesdays at 9pm.
