"Last October, a routine exam I had to do for Dancing With The Stars turned into four surgeries," the 50-year-old actress said in a clip on the program.
"I found out I had cancer, and my spinal cord was compressed,” she said. “They put a plate and four screws in my neck. You know the cancers totally curative, I'm totally cured."
Grey's scary prognosis came just weeks after her Dirty Dancing co-star Patrick Swayze died from pancreatic cancer at 57. Jerry Orbach, who played Grey's overprotective father in the film, died of prostate cancer in 2004 at the age of 69.
Dancing With The Stars' eleventh season continues on ABC Tuesday at 9/8c.
