VIDEO: Jennifer Grey's Cancer Bombshell - How DWTS Saved Her Life

Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey dazzled judges to receive Monday night's highest score on Dancing With The Stars, where she also broke her silence on a life-threatening condition her participation on the show alerted her to.

"Last October, a routine exam I had to do for Dancing With The Stars turned into four surgeries," the 50-year-old actress said in a clip on the program.
"I found out I had cancer, and my spinal cord was compressed,” she said. “They put a plate and four screws in my neck. You know the cancers totally curative, I'm totally cured."
Grey's scary prognosis came just weeks after her Dirty Dancing co-star Patrick Swayze died from pancreatic cancer at 57. Jerry Orbach, who played Grey's overprotective father in the film, died of prostate cancer in 2004 at the age of 69.
