Christian Siriano's "Fierce" Fashion Week Standing Ovation

Christian Siriano dazzled fashion critics at Day 1 of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Thursday, showing off his flawless Spring 2011 Collection at Lincoln Center. The Project Runway alum received a standing ovation for his clever collection, which ranged from an elaborately ruffled red evening gown, to totally wearable safari separates.
The designer paired all of his creations with frugal, but fancy footwear from his Christian Siriano for Payless collection, which totally screamed Alexander McQueen with their crafty and out of the ordinary cutout heels.

Though all of his evening gowns were totally drool-worthy and perfect for the modern day princess, his modern take on safari style (coolly cut shirtdresses belted in thick, cognac leather) were really what made this collection ovation-worthy.
