Carrie Fisher's Dad - Eddie Fisher - Dead At 82

Legendary '50s singer Eddie Fisher - father of Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher - has died of complications from hip surgery, RadarOnline.com has learned.
He was 82.
Fisher passed away Thursday in a hospital in Berkeley, California - 13 days after he broke his hip.
Fisher caused a major showbiz scandal in 1959 when he divorced his first wife, America's sweetheart Debbie Reynolds, to marry Elizabeth Taylor. Liz had been married to Fisher's best friend, producer Mike Todd, who was killed in a plane crash a year earlier.

Taylor later dumped Fisher for Richard Burton.
In all, Fisher was married five times and had four children, including actress Joely Fisher.
Fisher has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - one for recording and another for his work in television.
