With his smashing debut, Drake bested some heavy musical hitters: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Mojo which came in second place with 125,000 in sales; and Sarah McLachlan's Laws of Illusion, which recorded 94,000 in sales.
The burgeoning R&B superstar was grateful in a post on his Twitter page, Tweeting, "Thank you for the support...thank you for the memories...thank me later.”
