We broke the story that Tiger broke his promise and missed Sam's birthday on June 18 when she turned 3. Tiger was in California playing in the U.S. Open and Elin threw a party at the Orlando-area house.
But Tiger had promised not to miss anymore of his children's birthdays when he returned to golf.
Now RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that Tiger and Elin threw another birthday party for Sam and for the first time in months spent hours together in the same place.
All wasn't perfect between Tiger and Elin at the bash, though. The party was scheduled to start at 4 pm Saturday and last about two hours. Tiger didn't show up until 4:55, and he brought his office manager Kathy and another woman with him. Elin was understandably angry.
"But they put aside their differences for the good of their daughter when a big cake rolled in," a source familiar with the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
"Clearly this was Tiger trying to make it up to Sam. He wasn't there on her birthday so he wanted to have a party for her and be there. Elin went along with it. Despite their differences they want to do what is best for their children."
As RadarOnline.com reported exclusively, Tiger and Elin are about to sign a divorce settlement. She will receive approximately $750 million.
"Basically all the terms have been worked out," a source told RadarOnline.com. "They are about to sign the final deal."
Tiger and Elin spending hours together for Sam's birthday party was a rare event. Elin lives in a rented house approximately a mile away from Tiger and has very little to do with him anymore. Nannies shuttle the children between parents.
"Elin has taken several trips away from Tiger and is getting on with life, without him," said a source. "They barely talk. It's amazing that they spent time together -- even at a birthday party.
"It's a good sign that they could at least be civil."
