EXCLUSIVE: Jeremy London Suing His Own Mother!
June 25 2010, Published 12:30 p.m. ET
The Jeremy London kidnapping saga is taking another bizarre turn as the Mallrats star is suing his own mother, RadarOnline.com is reporting exclusively.
The troubled actor’s lawyer told RadarOnline.com exclusively that London is suing his mother Debbie Nielsen, his twin brother Jason London and Jason’s girlfriend, Sofia Karsten, to prevent them from talking about Jeremy to the media.
Jeremy is furious that family members have talked to the press about his addiction issues and have said they doubted his kidnapping story in the aftermath of London’s allegations that he was taken against his will on a joy ride around Palm Springs by Brandon Adams and two other men on June 10th. London claims he was forced to smoke drugs.
Now Jeremy is seeking an injunction against his family. The purpose of the injunction is, “specifically to stop (them) telling harmful lies,” Jeremy’s attorney, Catherine Lombardo, told RadarOnline.com, confirming that she will be suing the family for Jeremy.
Papers could be filed as early as Friday.
Jeremy’s relatives have said he needs help immediately and talked about his downward spiral into drugs.
“This particular episode has, sadly, gone public,” Jeremy's twin brother Jason and mother Debbie Nielsen, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive joint statement. “But this is something that we, as a family, have been dealing with for years.
“It is tragic,” they continued. “You watch someone you love hurting themselves - literally killing themselves - and you can do nothing to stop it.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, London – who has battled an addiction to prescription pills and been through rehab - undergoes regular drug testing. His publicist says the actor has tested clean. But London has lost custody of his son Lyrik, 3 and has been described as a wreck by multiple people who have seen him and interacted with him recently.

“The saddest of truths when it comes to addiction is you simply cannot help someone who does not want to be helped,” Jason and Debbie explained. “You cannot force them to want it.”
During an exclusive video interview, Jeremy lashed out at his brother and mom, telling RadarOnline.com: “The worst part of this has been my family. I haven't even seen them in six months. They have no idea what¹s going on.”
But Jason and Debbie tell RadarOnline.com that they’ve been actively trying to help Jeremy for years and have not given up. “We have not shut Jeremy out; the door is open without qualification should he decide to admit he has a problem and wants to get real help.”
“Unfortunately, it is he who has shut us out, a clear indication that he is not ready to do that,” they added.
“This is all so sad for all of us,” the family concluded. “We love Jeremy very much and really want him to get the help he needs.”
RadarOnline.com was the first to report that London claimed armed bandits abducted and robbed him and forced him to smoke drugs in Palm Springs, California on June 10. We also obtained the first interview with Adams, who is in jail on $500,000 bail and charged with multiple offenses in the London case. Adams said that London begged him to score drugs for the actor and downed xanex and ectasy in front of him.
