Jaycee Dugard's biological father Ken Slayton will hold a news conference with his lawyer Gloria Allred on Friday to respond to a recent highly-critical statement issued by Jaycee's family spokesperson, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Jaycee has no wish to see Slayton according to a statement released by Nancy Seltzer on Wednesday. Seltzer, a long-time Hollywood publicist, represents the Dugard family and contended that Slayton is attempting to petition a court to establish paternity. She said the family wants to avoid the "terror" of a process server.

The Dugard family statement - titled "DNA Does Not A Family Make" - was highly critical of Slayton and asserted that he had shown "no interest" in Jaycee until now. "It is now Jaycee Dugard's turn to express her feelings and she has no interest," the statement read.

Now Slayton, with his high-powered attorney Allred by his side, will respond at 10:30 am PT Friday in Los Angeles. Slayton will address "the Dugard family press statement which affirmed that Mr. Slayton is Jaycee's father, but then attacked him with what he believes are misleading and untrue statements about him and his efforts to establish a relationship with his daughter," he says.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, Jaycee was kidnapped by Phil Garrido and held captive for 18 years. Garrido is the father of her two daughters. Jaycee and her daughters have lived with her biological mother since being rescued last year.

Slayton's response to the family's statement adds a new dimension to an already shocking case that stunned America. Jaycee has mostly avoided publicity and Seltzer, who once worked as Whitney Houston's publicist, issued a toughly-worded statement for the family about Slayton.

Here is the complete text of that statement, which promoted Slayon's Friday news conference:

"It has come to our attention that Kenneth Slayton is attempting to petition the court to establish paternity and we wish to avoid the terror of a process server for Jaycee Dugard and her mother Terry Probyn.

"We are therefore affirming that Terry Probyn told Mr. Slayton when she learned she was pregnant that he was the father and again when Jaycee was born. He showed no interest.

"The police advised him when Jaycee was kidnapped and again he showed no interest. Terry Probyn asked the FBI to arrange a meeting with Mr. Slayton and herself after the kidnapping and the FBI found him uninterested.

"The Eldorado Sheriff's department interviewed him and he again showed no interest. At no point did Mr. Slayton offer any assistance beyond what was requested of him while Jaycee was missing.

"Terry Probyn has never denied that Kenneth Slayton was the father. Rather it was Mr Slayton who showed no interest for the first 29 years of his daughter's life.

"It is now Jaycee Dugard's turn to express her feelings and she has no interest.

"She does not wish to see Mr Slayton or his family at this time.

"Jaycee reserves the right to reconsider at a later date.

"DNA does not make a family."
