It's hard to believe that the impossibly adorable The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Vampiress Dakota Fanning is already a red carpet veteran at 16-years-old. Skyrocketing to fame with her critically acclaimed performance in the Sean Penn tearjerker I Am Sam, the Eclipse stunner has come of age before our eyes, transforming from girl scout-to-glam goddess!
In her younger years, the blonde beauty used the red carpet as game of dress up, stepping out in girl scout uniforms, princess gowns, kimonos and clogs. In 2006, the child star won over fans in Charlotte's Web, looking adorable on the red carpet cuddling with a pig, but a year later Dakota let us know she was growing up, taking a career risk by starring in the controversial movie Hounddog.

In 2008, it seemed like Dakota sprouted into a sophisticated teenager overnight, hitting the red carpet of The Secret Life of Bees suddenly stylish in a scalloped mini dress. Ever since, the high school coed has dazzled fashion critics, wearing sparkling minis from Marchesa, BCBG Valentino and Elie Saab.
What we love about Dakota, is that she manages to look totally glam, while still maintaining her youthful spirit. While many teenage starlets have a tendency to dress beyond their years, wearing over the top ball gowns or way too revealing getup (a la Miley Cyrus!), Fanning opts for dazzlingly embellished minis and sophisticated jumpsuits, which accentuate her body in a non-controversial way.
What is next for the Eclipse star? We think it is about time she scored an endorsement deal of her own!
