Ever the Queen of controversy, Madonna doesn't disappoint in her latest photo shoot for Interview Magazine - a stunning, risqué black and white number shot by famed photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott - coupled with a revealing, no holds barred interview with the director, Gus Van Sant.
The pop princess looks beyond stunning in the edgy shoot, with nods to controversial Madonna imagery of the past - crucifixes, fishnets, bustiers, lacy gloves and chains - despite now being a 50 something mom of four, she hardly looks a day older than when she first burst onto the world's stage decades ago.

In the interview, Madonna is in a decidedly reflective mood, talking about her passion for Africa, speaking fondly of her fiery ex-husband Sean Penn and sharing tales of her early days in New York and those that she has loved and lost to AIDS.
Madge talks about her directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, staring Richard E Grant, a movie based on her gay, blind ballet teacher Christopher Flynn - who she credits as the first person to ever recognize her talent and to make her feel beautiful about herself.
And Madonna spills about her current passion project, W.E. A movie that she is writing in conjunction with Alek Keshishian and has been reported as being a musical about King Edward and Mrs. Simpson, something Madonna denies.
"The Duke and Duchess of Windsor are in the movie, but it’s not going to be about them," Madonna explains. "It’s really about this other woman’s journey, and the duchess is kind of her spiritual guide."
Shockingly, Madonna says that she no longer has a record deal and that she has no idea how she is going to get her new music out in the future. However, the Material Mom doesn't sound too concerned, quipping that she hears she has a "few fans" out there that may help her spread the word!
You can catch the whole interview and amazing photo spread in the upcoming June issue of Interview Magazine.
