Just five months after releasing a new album, the ever-prolific Flaming Lips team up with frontman Wayne Coyne’s nephew’s band, Stardeath and White Dwarfs, to create their take on Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. The Oklahomans enlisted fun guests like Henry Rollins and Peaches for their hypnotic tribute. “We’ve played Pink Floyd songs our whole life,” Coyne has said of how the idea came about. “Some of them are very resilient, too. You can almost do anything you want with them, and they still retain the sentiment, the ideas and the inertia that Pink Floyd put into it. The songs are just so well written and so well arranged.”...
