Bret Michaels is giving his first TV interview to Oprah Winfrey since his brain hemorrhage. And RadarOnline.com has the preview clip where the 47-year-old says “All of a sudden, I just started moving around and boom—there was this explosion.”
When you look at the video, you have to do a double take, because the rocker looks as though he has completely recovered. His speech is back and so is his sense of humor.
Oprah asked him why he wore his signature bandana in the hospital room. He said “It’s like Superman without the cape.”
The front man for Poison says if he was going to go in the hospital he had one request: “Leave the boots on, some form of bandana and a cape….but not in the hospital gown.”
He joked “If I'm going out, I want to go out rockin'.”
The finalist for Celebrity Apprentice recalls the moment last month when something “was severely wrong.”
He says “All of a sudden I just started moving around and boom there was this explosion. It went pop. They call it a thunderclap.”
“I never instantly had a headache like that in my entire life. It’s like a migraine times 10. "It just exploded instantly – ran from my temple down to the back of my skull.”
The Oprah interview airs Wednesday, and Michaels plans to return to the stage in Biloxi, Miss., on May 28 and he also hopes to appear on the May 23 live season finale of Celebrity Apprentice, where he is a finalist for the $250,000 prize for his charity.
